01/23/08 Update

Skill Updates
Victory or Death
· The Guild Lord will now use his axe when combating other Guild Lords.
· NPCs during Victory or Death will do 30% more damage, and an additional 10% more damage each minute after Victory or Death.

Monk
· Aura of Stability: decreased duration to 3..10 seconds.

Dervish
· Pious Assault: decreased activation time to .5 seconds.

Warrior
· Fear Me: increased recharge time to 6 seconds.

Ritualist
· Sight Beyond Sight: reverted duration back to 8..20 seconds.

Pious Assault may be overpowered. As it stands, it's a 1/2 activation Deep Wound with any melee weapon.
Fear Me nerf is good, Stability nerf is decent.

wait, you can use pious assault with ANY weapon?

sword warriors, welcome back. 10 energy might be restrictive, but that shouldn't matter too much as long as you run mostly adrenaline skills.

And let VoD start at 25 so spliting would be more likely to actually do something

the potentially +40% damage on npcs at vod, combined with precision shot, means that we REALLY WILL get 321 rangerspiked at vod.

Pious Assault is starting to look evil, considering anything can use it even with 0 in scythe for instant deep wound.

Fear me nerf looks good.

Does the 30% bonus damage npcs deal stack with the +15% damage from the vod shout? If so thats a 50% boost right from the start with another 10% stacking every minute. I'll laugh if I see a guild lord solo spike something.

Should not have reverted sight beyond sight put it back please....blindbotting ellys will love it but there are already enough aegis, ward, da, etc to deal with so let us take sight on our dervs and warriors so at least help handle the blinds. Plus Sight finally gave a use to avatar besides melandru and if it is nerfed back then there goes that.

I don't know whether or not this update will just force people to use the current tank para build with shields up and wys because npc dmg is increased or will it put much more emphasis on running splits and gaining an npc advantage....

Spiritway is really not that hard to beat :S.

People forgot how to take down spirits?

Aura of stability nerf is a bit bad in some regards but cool in another. Perhaps will allow prot monks to change bars a bit in HA. In GVG there was already quite a bit you could change from.
